How much does SEO cost in Pakistan? A 2026 guide

SEO in Pakistan is usually sold as a monthly fee, and quotes for what sounds like the same service can differ many times over. The price follows a few things you can check: how hard your searches are to win, how big your site is, how much content gets written, and who does the work. This guide explains the kinds of quote you will meet, what drives each one, and what you should get every month for the money.

This site publishes no prices, ours included, so you will not find rupee figures here. What you will find is how to read the quotes you get, so that you can compare a freelancer's package with an agency's retainer on the same terms.

The kinds of quote you will get

Most SEO offers in Pakistan come in one of three shapes. These are typical shapes of the market, not anyone's price list.

WhoHow it is usually pricedWhat it tends to includeWhere it fits
A freelancerThe lowest monthly fee, or a fixed packageOne person, often a set number of articles or links a monthA small site, one city, a tight budget
A small agencyA mid-range monthly retainerA plan, on-page work, some content, a monthly reportMost local service businesses
A full-service agencyThe highest monthly retainerStrategy, content, technical work and reporting, often with ads and social alongsideHard searches, several cities, a large shop

Two freelancers can quote very differently, and so can two agencies. The tier tells you what kind of work to expect. It does not tell you what that work should cost.

There is a fourth kind: a one-off audit or project, priced once. It makes sense when you already have a developer or an in-house marketer who can make the fixes, and you only need someone to tell them what to fix first.

What drives the price

How hard your searches are to win

"AC repair in Gulshan-e-Iqbal" and "property for sale in DHA Karachi" are not the same job. The second has large property portals and dozens of agents competing for it. The harder the searches you need to win, the more content and time it takes, and the higher a fair quote will be.

How many cities, branches and services

One clinic in Clifton with three services is a small plan. A business with branches in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad needs a page and a Google Business Profile for every branch, and content for every city. Each one adds work.

The size and state of your website

A five-page site and an online shop with two thousand products are priced differently. So is a fast, clean site compared with one full of broken links, duplicate pages and a theme that crawls on a phone. If the first months go on repairs, expect that in the quote.

How much content is written

Content is usually the biggest cost inside an SEO fee. Ask how many pages or articles a month the fee covers, who writes them, and whether they are written for your business or reworded from someone else's. Writing in English and in Urdu or Roman Urdu is more work than English alone.

Who does the work

A senior specialist who plans the work costs more than a junior who follows a checklist. Both have a place. What matters is that someone experienced decides what gets done, and that you know who that person is.

AI search

This is a newer line in some quotes: checking what ChatGPT and Gemini say when your buyers ask about your category, and writing content so that your business gets named. If a quote includes it, ask which assistants are checked, how often, and where you can see the answers.

What is usually not in the fee

Ask about each of these before you sign, because this is where budgets go wrong:

  • Developer time. An audit finds problems. Someone has to fix them in your theme or code, and that is not always the SEO provider.
  • Content beyond the agreed amount. Extra landing pages, product descriptions or new service pages.
  • Ad spend. Google Ads is a separate budget, paid to Google. An SEO fee should never quietly include it.
  • Paid tools. Most providers use paid keyword and rank-tracking tools. That cost is normally theirs, but confirm it.
  • Sales tax. Ask whether the quote includes sales tax on services, for example Sindh sales tax if the provider is registered in Karachi.

Your Google Business Profile itself is free. Nobody should charge you for the profile, only for time spent setting it up or managing it.

What you should get every month

Whatever tier you pay for, a month of SEO should leave a trail you can check. At the end of each month, you should be able to say yes to most of these:

  1. I know which searches we are working on, and why those.
  2. I can see what was published or changed on my site, page by page.
  3. I can see which technical problems were found and which were fixed.
  4. My report shows visits from Google and enquiries, not only rankings.
  5. I know what is planned for next month.
  6. The work sits on my own accounts: my Search Console, my Analytics, my Google Business Profile.
  7. Someone can explain any of it to me in plain words.

If you pay for a month and cannot say yes to these, you have paid for a promise.

Cheap, expensive and fair

The cheapest packages often sell a number: so many backlinks, so many "submissions" a month. Bought links from low-quality sites can get a site penalised, and cleaning that up costs more than the package ever saved. A package priced by the number of links is a warning sign at any price.

Expensive is not a guarantee either. A large retainer that goes mostly on meetings and slides, with little published on your site, is poor value.

A fair quote is one where you can see what the money buys: the searches, the pages, the fixes and the reports. Put two quotes side by side and compare them line by line. If you cannot, ask both providers to break theirs down.

How to set your SEO budget

SEO pays back over months, not weeks, so it needs a budget you can hold for a while.

  • Pick an amount you can keep paying. Stopping after the first month or two wastes most of what you paid, because the early work is groundwork.
  • Pay for content, not only the fee. If the plan needs more pages than the fee covers, budget for them, or the plan will not happen.
  • Do not spread a small budget thin. As our digital marketing budget guide explains, a modest budget does more in one or two channels done well than in four done badly.

Questions to ask before you sign

  • What exactly does the monthly fee cover, in pages, fixes and reports?
  • Who will do the work, and who checks it?
  • How will my business earn links and mentions from other sites?
  • Is there a minimum term, and how much notice do I give to stop?
  • Will everything be set up on my own accounts?
  • What will you need from me each month?

The bottom line

What SEO costs in Pakistan depends less on who you hire than on what you need to win: the searches, the cities, the size of your site and the content it takes. Get quotes that show their working, compare them line by line, and pay for work you can see.
