The Challenge

Karachi is a hotbed for opportunities, millions of people move here looking for growth and have no option but to live a sub-standard life due to a lack of options and poor standards of living in the community spaces. MyGhar solved that problem by creating clean, secure and happy places so that people could focus on their careers, and education and move ahead without having to worry about the daily hassles of maintaining a house or having to live in substandard spaces.

The challenge was to make them visible enough that people could easily approach them and get their desired space.

The Challenge

MyGhar solved that problem by creating clean, secure and happy places so that people could focus on their careers, and education and move ahead without having to worry about the daily hassles of maintaining a house or having to live in substandard spaces.

The Big Idea

We had to earn the trust of people and used word of mouth as our tool to get the word out. By creating spaces that stood out in the busiest areas of Karachi and creating awareness about the service through paid media we started getting a lot of traffic. Within a few months, we were able to get more than 100 people living safely and happily in multiple locations across Karachi. 

The second stage was to create a marketing campaign that made people aware of the safety, warmth and quality of life that MyGhar provides and to get more people to rent their properties to us in order to spread the network of location through cities. We built a social media presence in a way that portrayed the warmth and trust that people put in MyGhar by showing what life at MyGhar looks like, our standards of living, cleanliness and so much more to make it relatable. 

Later on, we came up with the idea of portarying the life at the spaces managed by MyGhar. This would showcase the diversity, fluidity and comfort the residents found themselves in. This was further supplemented with the User Generated Content (UGC) by the inhabitants.

Design Direction and Visual Communication

Even though it’s a sophisticated service the visual representation was kept a little more colorful to add a refreshing outlook and create attraction and impact. Through the visuals we wanted to subtly make them understand that it was appraochable and cleanliness was an impportant aspect of their sevice.

The Achievements

The growth was quick and steady for MyGhar, today the brand stands on its own for its brand identity and caters to thousands of people across Karachi while constantly growing. So much so that the inbox messages of the digital platforms have been filled with queries and questions regarding the available spaces. It has been able to provide safe and secure lodging options for the new people looking to settle down in the city. 

Along with the growth, the inhabitants have realized the importance of such a service that they’ve helped generate content that helped with the visibility of the brand.
